I'm alive. Have been focusing more on writing fiction and personal projects than the blog, these days. Plan to spend some more time here soon as discipline and interests converge.
But otherwise off in a quiet place, wondering what the new focus will be.
I've deactivated the facebook and myspace, because I don't like the "every day a high school reunion" feel of the place, nor did I like the way I found myself obsessively checking two social networking sites, blog traffic, and email as if it were a ritual I had to do to make my computer work correctly after turning it on.
(And I especially didn't like it because I never got any messages.)
Think I'll focus efforts here a bit after I take some time to think about what those efforts should be.
Meanwhile go read the wife's blog, like I said. That woman has built an internet community in record time. 41 comments within 48 hours of writing a post about post-war stain removal!? 61 Followers in 39 days? All on a free blogspot page?
It boggles the imagination, I tells you!
(Actually, I might re-activate the facebook, so at least I can try to publicize her blog. But I wonder what everyone from high school will say when they learn I'm living with a woman from 1955.)
