Dead Cat Bounce

I was happy to see the markets come back a bit yesterday, even if it did somewhat diminish my doom and gloom posting.  A friend of mine told me not to give up the despair quite yet, though.  "It's just a classic dead cat bounce," he said.

That's the best expression I've heard in a long time.  So delightfully heavy and morbid. 

And it turns out he didn't even make it up
